New Jersey Wedding and Civil Service Officiant
Before Your Big Day
Once you've gotten a confirmed booking for your date, we can schedule a time to have a conference call, or a Zoom call, to go over the particulars of what you'd like your ceremony to be. Then we can start working on a draft of the ceremony for your review. In the meantime, if you're getting a wedding license, now is the time to apply. For more information on how to apply for your marriage certificate,
Please click here to visit the New Jersey Department of Health Website. Please Click this link for a list of of the Vital Statistics departments of all townships in NJ.
On Your Big Day
On the day of your ceremony, your officiant will arrive approximately 30 minutes before your start time, for major venues, and approximately 15 minutes early for home elopements and micro-weddings. Your officiant will meet with you, the DJ, the photographer/videographer, the catering staff, and anybody else necessary to ensure that everything is ready and in-place. If you are getting a marriage license, you will need to assign two(2) witnesses, ages 18 years or older, to witness the signing of the license by your officiant. Once all four copies of your license paperwork are filled out, your officiant will give return your copy for your records, and drop off the other copies to the appropriate town registrar. In some cases, it will not be possible to drop off the license directly. In which case we recommend purchasing a Priority Mail Package with us, to ensure prompt delivery. After that is taken care of, all you have to do now is enjoy your wedding day!
After Your Big Day
After your ceremony, typically about 14 days, you should give a call to the registrar to see if your official license is ready to pick up. You can find out which town your license was submitted to, on your copy of the marriage license in Box #3. Also, please be sure to leave us a review on the Wedding Wire or the Knot. Only about 10% of couples leave reviews :( Please help us out and click here to leave a review.
